You can create a designated space for meditation in your room and play music that helps you focus on contemplation. Okay, after a while, if you seriously imagine and close your eyes for some time to experience this fantasy in your consciousness, letting go of reality, you might be genuinely surprised. You may even smile or laugh, especially when envisioning a different family, life partner, children, a different career, personality traits, and clothing. It can be truly enjoyable.
However, be cautious, as something strange might happen. If you keep imagining for an extended period, you might find yourself intrigued by the idea, perhaps believing a part of it. You might wish to live it for real and bring it to reality. This imagination exercise is an authentic and essential practice in the art of acting. Stanislavski and Sanford Meisner, influential acting trainers, were among the first to embrace the theory of complete immersion.
- Imagination Exercise 2:
Here's another exercise to imagine life differently. Visualize life as a large display window in a vast shopping exhibition filled with clothes, tools, and other items. You get to choose what suits you and pleases you, then pay the price for your choice. Each of us creates our lifestyle and believes in every detail. This is what is called a tangible illusion. We create an illusion just now, then believe it, live it with all our being, and it becomes our reality, from birth to death. But be attentive to something I mentioned, paying the price for your choice. Therefore, be careful during the selection.
Our lives are not scripted as some people imagine or believe. While there are specific things we do not choose, our lives are largely shaped by our decisions, behaviors, and agreed-upon societal norms. We choose a path, a profession, and a field of study. We select dreams that we strive to achieve. It is a mistake for some to think they are predetermined and compelled in everything, saying that God wants this fate for them or resigning themselves to their conditions.
