Dear Team Members,
I am writing in response to your request about the traits that would be found in an agile organization and what leaders could do to become more agile.
Agile companies are constituted of a dense network of strong teams that operate with high levels of congruence, responsibility, expertise, accountability, and cooperation (Naslund & Kale, 2020). Such organizations also require a healthy environment to guarantee that all team members collaborate seamlessly. These organizations are distinguished by customer-centricity, a network of teams, a shared purpose, efficient technological integration, open communication, and fast learning and decision cycles (Rogers, 2020). These traits are unique to agile organization and they help companies change their structure from traditional to new ones.
Leaders and organizational managers can create agility in an organization by taking different initiatives. For example, organizational heads should establish a clear vision and share it with their employees; focus on creating value for their customers; introduce new technology and integrate it into their workplaces. Other measures that can be implemented include encouraging open and transparent communication, investing in new learning opportunities for employees, and developing new rules for collaboration and decision-making (Clayton, 2021). Observing these measures will help leaders and managers to create agility in their organizations, which will help them to respond to changing market conditions and emerging technologies.
