Number in Everyday Life (A)
Memorizing complex figures such as phone numbers, addresses, birthdates, and passwords is difficult.
The initial step for children to learn any basic math concept is to master the order of numbers one through ten. Kids learn fast when they play. Practical learning by using toys is the best way to remember numbers. Others include; reading number books together, using hands to indicate numbers visually, singing rhyming number songs, and bringing attention to numbers on television.
For older people, regular physical exercise, balanced nutrition, and ample sleep improve memory. Writing numbers using a pen and a paper triggers the brain to pay more attention. The preferred way to remember numbers is linking them to a known fact, for instance, the date of birth of a spouse or a child. Afterward, try to recite and write on a paper without checking. For example, permutation of date of birth can create numerous passwords.
