They engage actively in business operations, perform key administrative roles, and oversee the entire operations of the organization. This has various implications on their training and development. They need to acquire various competencies in order to secure rewarding employment. Organizations expect them to perform complex duties and deliver desirable results at all times. Expanding their knowledge base through constant training increases their employability in the current competitive environment. In his review, Wimbush explores the concepts of turnover, diversity, and teams and underscores how they relate and affect human resource management. The author ascertains that staff turnover has negative implications on the efficiency, interpersonal relations, behaviors and general performance of employees (Wimbush 433). With regards to teams, he asserts that these are at the core of organizational functioning. According to him, they have different skills and expertise and perform distinctive roles within the organization.
