Having worked for the company for more than two years as a data analyst and came a time when my managing director was travelling for training overseas and was forced to take a 1 month leave. This lead to my promotion to act as a deputy director while he went for the training. At my age and experience in the company I was way much below most of the staff in the company but the current position made me become their immediate supervisor. With such qualities, thy sounded to belittle me and this brought a lot of controversy in the office. Due to their age and experience, my feeling was they did not respect me or follow instructions as they were supposed to. Besides, the current position I was in had a handsome package and I was of the feeling that I should not lose the job as well as the title after the return of my boss mainly because getting to such a rank is not easy bearing in mind the experience I had in the company and the age difference that existed between me and other employees that were now my juniors. This is a job I have been dreaming about since I joined the company and retention in the position is totally determined by performance and appraisal as stipulated in the company policies.
