Introduction
Climate change is a phenomenon that happens when alterations in the systems of the world’s climate result in changes in weather patterns that normally last for an extended period of time. The process of climate change involves interaction between different components of the earth parts; these are the air, water, living things, ice and earth’s crust.
The issue of climate change is important to the society is important to the society as it affects the occupants of the society in a wide ranging of ways. The impacts of climate change cut across and can be seen within different sectors of the society such as agriculture, food supply, health, the ecosystems, supply of water ecosystems. Energy amongst others. The effects of climate change on agriculture and subsequently food security has been increasing at an alarming rate and if not checked will impact the ability of the country to feed its citizens. On human health, changes in climates affects the health of humans through periods when there are extreme weather conditions; too cold/ hot temperatures, flooding and others.
