Mary Daly’s beyond god the Father
Mary Daly in her book Beyond God the Father tries to talk about the issue of discovery to help women change their notion of god from being a superior being. He wants women to stop thinking of God as being male but to take him as a nonsexist verb. Daly advocates for women to stop believing in the patriarchal institutions to help them relive their strength, ingenuity, and the power for transformation. She asserts that the gender social order system and the perception of Christianity being masculine support and give reason for women’s oppression. People advocate against issues such as war, racial discrimination and other things but forget about the most important issue which is the oppression of women as they believe that there is no male nor female in Christ.
