BRIEF ON THE CONFERENCE CALL MEETING HELD ON 08TH AUGUST 2019 BETWEEN NYANDARUA COUNTY, KENINVEST AND BASF.
A tele-conference meeting took place on the 8th of August 2019 at 3.30 pm, between the BASF team and the appointed sub Cabinet Committee lead by H.E The Deputy Governor who was also the Co-Convener.
The meeting was coordinated by the Kenivest contact person Christine Masta.
During the previous meeting on the 25th July, 2019 between Nyandarua County, Keninvest and BASF at royal gardens hotel, several issues were left pending for further deliberation, action and consideration as follows;
1 The cabinet subcommittee was to develop a partnership model on the best alternative to public private partnership (PPP ) which was to be communicated to the investor during the 8th of August 2019 meeting.
2 BASF was to hand over the official proposal to the Deputy Governor by 2nd of August 2019 in order to allow the county to review the TORs of the Environmental impact Assessment. The existing TORs which were developed for the processing plant had not factored in the Agrihub and to avoid duplication and in order to save time, it was agreed that the same would need to be reviewed in order to capture this need for the partnership with the investor.
