What the Author Conveys in the Article 250
Dr. Travis Bradberry’s article tackles the role of choices and decisions in influencing life's outcomes. It focuses on significant decisions with long-term effects on individuals' lives. Specifically, the author covers choices whose effects elicit regretful lifetime feelings related to accomplishments, growth and the happiness of persons and their loved ones. From these considerations, making decisions based on other people's opinions, working too hard, failing to express feelings, keeping in touch with friends, and not letting oneself be happy.
Making decisions based on others’ opinions and working too hard are the first two choices that lead to regrets. As Bradberry indicated, the first results in poor career choices and the failure to uphold personal morals. People who listen to others more end up studying courses they do not like. While they may gain prestige and others' approval, they get stuck with the decisions forever. They also compromise and violate their morals at the expense of others' making others happy instead of themselves (Bradberry). Working too hard deprives people of quality time they should spend with family and others.
The failure to express one's feelings, keep in touch with friends and enjoy life also suffices as choices
