THE IMPACT OF CHINESE INVESTMENTS IN AFRICA ON THE EMPLOYMENT AND LABOR MARKET.
Abstract
African countries have extensively experienced economic growth and development within the past two decades. International trade involvement being the primary factor that has led to the witnessed development. Macroeconomic indicators such as reduced unemployment rate and expansion in the labor market showing enormous evidence. This research proposal focuses on China and its engagement in African countries economically. It has created opportunities in the labor market and injected capital into various sectors in the economy, such as technology and infrastructure. This proposal's principal objective is to determine the impact that China has had on Africa through Foreign Direct Investment. The study will use a cross-sectional study design and quantitative and qualitative data analysis from secondary and primary sources.
