The recent years have been characterized by the debate on whether wolves should be reintroduced in Colorado or not. Historically, wolves, in particular the gray wolves, inhabited Colorado and they used to hunt in the forests. The Latin name for the gray wolves is Canis Lupus, and it is popularly referred to as the “timber wolf.” However, during the 20th century, the gray wolves were becoming endangered due to the determination of hunters to wipe out wolves. Due to hunting, the wolves were becoming endangered, and therefore the federal government began developing laws that would protect the wolves. The laws were classified under the Endangered Species Act of 1978 at a time that approximately 1,200 gray wolves were remaining (Tejada, 2020). Over the years, the number of wolves has increased to 6,000, but still, they remain endangered species.
The debate regarding the reintroduction of wolves in Colorado is heating up. The debate has caused an uproar to the extent elections to whether there should be the reintroduction of gray wolves in Colorado or not. The voters of Colorado have been tasked with the responsibility of determining whether the wolves should be reintroduced. Both parties are giving strong arguments regarding the topic, to back up their sides.
There have been calls to save the endangered species through allowing the reintroduction in Colorado arguing that the species help in controlling the ecosystem. This proposal seeks to inform and persuade the residents of Colorado on the importance associated with the reintroduction of wolves. The research proposal aims to inform and persuade residents to vote for the reinstatement. The proposal seeks to answer the following questions;

2 What are the roles played by wolves in the ecosystem?
3 Why were the wolves exterminated in Colorado?
4 Who are the beneficiaries of the reintroduction of wolves?
5 What are the changes in population over the past years?
The reintroduction of wolves in Colorado is the most significant step in controlling the population in the parks and consequently improving the ecosystem.
