Abstract
The enrollment of international students into academic institutions abroad has significantly increased over the years. These international students exhibit exemplary attributes in the job market. Given that, this research paper sought to determine whether studying abroad increases graduates’ competitiveness in the job market. The corresponding research objective is to determine the global competitiveness of international students in the job market. The research paper also seeks to test the hypothesis that studying abroad increases global professionalism in the job industry. Data collected showed that international graduates portray competitive skills in the job market, making hiring managers prefer them to students from local institution affiliations. International students demonstrate creativity, global-mindedness, open-mindedness, independence, and intercultural sensitivity. The current job market requires individuals with such expertise to enable organizations to achieve comparative advantage and competitiveness. Undoubtedly, issues such as financial obstacles and ignorance undermine students' intent to study abroad. These challenges can be addressed through programs seeking to create awareness of the benefits of studying abroad. The formulation of policies encouraging the increase of scholarship programs is also imminent in promoting study-abroad programs.

Introduction
International students make up a significant percentage of students in most universities. Many educational establishments embrace diversity and seek to encourage the enrollment of international students into their curriculum. Studies show that the rate at which students search for education at universities abroad has increased by significant percentages. This trend gets influenced by students' need to enhance their living standards. In many scenarios, the desire to study abroad dependents on different motivational factors, such as improvement of living conditions economically, politically, and socially. Academic institutions, on the other hand, promote international students' well-being as a means of marketing their education internationally. The United Kingdom, for instance, involves government-sponsored initiatives to attract international students (Di Pietro, 2015). Developed countries have been competing for worldwide recognition of their impeccable education services. This research paper seeks to answer the following research question, how does studying abroad increase graduates’ competitiveness in the job market? The corresponding research objective is to determine the global competitiveness of international students in the job market. The research paper also seeks to test the hypothesis that studying abroad boosts global professionalism in the job industry.
