1 Explain the health problem you selected and why you chose that problem.
I have selected is diabetes. The number of Americans with diabetes has more than tripled since 1980 (American Diabetes Association, 2016). Today, more than 29 million Americans have diabetes, and about one in four of them do not even know they have the disease. Diabetes is a dangerous condition that may cause coronary artery disease, stroke, renal failure, vision problems, and other health concerns. People with diabetes need to work closely with their healthcare team to manage their diabetes and prevent complications (American Diabetes Association, 2016). I will compare the health problem between the US and Canada.
