In the past, the healthcare sector has witnessed tremendous achievements, including the invention of vaccines to control diseases and the introduction of technologies such as x-rays for patient diagnosis. These achievements have implications in the current and future health world. In the contemporary world, there are several health concerns that have been initiated by the change in lifestyles and consumption trends attributed to technological advancements. One of the global health concerns that have impacted my community is the increase in cases of obesity, which is attributed to the excessive intake of calories and lack of exercise, thereby increasing the body mass index (Rosenthal et al., 2017). It is becoming challenging to handle the issue, especially amongst the American population and other affluent countries.
