Introduction
Agrofuels and bioenergy are often confused for the same thing, however, Agrofuels refers to liquid bioenergy fuels such as biodiesel and bioethanol that are usually derived from plants rather than oil or other fossil fuels. Bioenergy, on the other hand, is a form of renewable energy from recently living organic materials (Rodríguez, 2021). Notably, agrofuels and bioenergy are both carbon-neutral so they're environmentally friendly. As the carbon dioxide released during vegetation (green cover) is balanced out by the newly planted ones, these two types of energy have both their advantages and disadvantages.

Proponents of carbon-neutral and renewable energy sources argue that there are little to no emissions of greenhouse gasses. Wilson (2012) notes that plants use carbon dioxide during photosynthesis,
