The issue of global warming has become of the most discussed environmental issues in recent times. As a result, the purpose of this paper is to assess some of the effects of global warming. Global warming is the observed rise in the average temperature of the climate system of planet earth. In the past, climate change was not a critical environmental issue since climate was stable and the rise in temperatures was slow and gradual. But the recent temperature recordings in the last two decades have caused significant attention to climate change, with most environmentalists calling for a change in environmental laws to curb the rise in temperatures. It is therefore imperative to assess various adverse effects of rising temperatures on people and the environment.
