vaccine hesitancy is one of the key factors affecting health institutions. One of the factors causing Covid vaccine hesitancy is the fear of the side effects of the vaccine where people are not assured of the effectiveness of the vaccine. Lack of knowledge is also another key factor that leads to lack of trust in the vaccine since the public is not educated on the importance of the vaccine. People want others to be vaccinated first so that they can trust the vaccine, which also causes vaccine hesitancy since no one wants to be vaccinated first. The government, therefore, should ensure information about the Covid vaccine are correct and the right channels are used to deliver the message to avoid myths and misconceptions about the vaccine.

Hesitation Over Receiving the Covid Vaccine
Vaccine hesitancy means failure of admission of such vaccine despite the availability of the vaccine. Covid 19 vaccines were launched in India on 16th January 2021 (Jain et al 26). They aimed at assessing the vaccine hesitancy as well as factors leading to it. They conducted interviews as well as online questionnaires. 1068 medical students responded to the questionnaire where 10.6% reported vaccine hesitancy. Their claim was fear of the side effects, they are not sure of the effectiveness of the vaccine, lack of knowledge about the vaccine and they would also prefer others to be vaccinated first. Individuals preferred less risky actions rather than taking the vaccine, which includes wearing face masks, sanitizing, observing social distance and rather not take the Covid vaccine.
Acceptance of vaccines has been on a decline in recent years. The main cause of this trend is the side effects and effectiveness of the vaccines. Healthcare workers should be aware of the effectiveness as well as the side effects of vaccines. Although, how effective and safe the vaccine holds in resolving the COVID-19 pandemic, hesitancy of vaccines remains normal (Kaplan, Robert and Arnord 1). Some of the side effects of using the Covid vaccine include chills, tiredness, pain, headache, hydration as well as redness and swelling at the injection site, which serve as the main reason people are not willing to take the vaccine. Another reason for failure to trust the vaccine is the reports given by clinics that are against the vaccine (Kose et al 3). However, failing to take the vaccine is also risky as the vaccine protects one from getting sick and also protecting the whole community. The government should proactively release information on vaccine strategies on time. They should also enhance transparency and coherency public communication, which helps to address misinformation.
Another reason for the hesitancy of the Covid vaccine is the lack of knowledge about the vaccine. Many people have not been educated on the importance of the vaccine or they receive the wrong information. One key factor in the knowledge of vaccine is media and technology. The media has played part in keeping vaccine scares alive even in presence of strong evidence of the effectiveness of vaccines. The media have a lot of myths and misconceptions about various vaccines which makes people believe and fail to get vaccinated. The government should take responsibility for the information posted on social media so that they are assured of the right information to the audience. For example, the government should advise people to use only the trusted sources like World Health Organization (WHO) to avoid confusing people. The government should engage the public when developing a vaccine to ensure the public trusts the vaccine.
Another reason for vaccine hesitancy is that people prefer others to be vaccinated first. However, getting vaccinated helps protect one from COVID-19 and also protecting the community, many individuals fail to take the vaccine since they want others to be vaccinated first. People should be educated on the importance of the vaccine so that they are willing to be vaccinated. Such action help save an ind
