The Evolution and Expression of Racism
Racism is regarded to be the act of one race expressing superiority over another race. Forms of discrimination or prejudice are directly shown against other people due to their difference in ethnicity. The evolution and expression of racism give us the opportunity of identifying the pervasive nature of the white race as well as cultural narratives and the negative impacts they have caused by denying other races in America their freedom and progress. Racial cases in the state are reported to have significantly increased annually, leading to more other negative issues such as deaths, political instability, and hatred among citizens.
In the Brutal History of Anti-Latino Discrimination in America (Blakemore), the author explains the origin and evolution of the Latino wicked treatment by the police. In the city of Los Angeles, the police decide to make a massive arrest of approximately four hundred people who were of the Mexican origin, and immediately deported them to Mexico. The police took this action regardless of the victim’s immigration status or citizenship. Studies indicate that the raid was among the act of discrimination against the Latino people in the United States; whereby, incidents such as school segregation, lynching, and even illegal deportation are often experienced among both the Latinos and Blacks.
