Introduction
The moral stand on the practices of witchery and sorcery have by tradition been furthered in the African society with solitary intents of promoting cultural beliefs in the showcase of how these function within their static social systems (Hutton 413). This paper will, in particular, examine the rationale, drives and consequences of this practice in the African states evidencing its perceptions in the citizenry of the before mentioned states.
Rationale and Drive of the Practice
An Act of Traditional Belief.While the practices of witchcraft are seen as eccentric in contemporary Europe, these in the African states are profoundly assumed under the propositions of aligning with their traditional beliefs. To the West states like Senegal, Ghana and Sub-Saharan areas, these practices shape their cultural lives as they constitute a framework for moral values and ethics which work by amending appropriate behaviors in their society (Hutton 413).
