Due to advance in technology together joined with business environment changes, shows a great effect on general application security where they are becoming more predominant in public, government and corporate services in today environment (Othmane, Chehrazi, Bodden, Tsalovski & Brucker, 2017)). Application security provides suitable and efficient measures concerning overall security on the network system but there are various emerging security threats which it can pose a serious risk to the entire organization’s information technology assets if not handled seriously.
For the past decades since the use of technology becomes more accessible, most organizations depend entirely on security measures in ensuring the protection of their network perimeter to their IT infrastructures. However, old security measures on the network system may not be enough to fully safeguard application security from new emerging threats since attacks are becoming more advance in targeting vital security sectors designed in web applications (Xie, Chu, Lipford & Melton, 2011). New and strong security measures should be implemented both technical and administrative alongside application security (Sikka et al, 2013). Below is the proposed recommendation to ensure that the overall security application issues are fixed.
