However, specific objectives will be to: * Identify any deviations from the intended course of action. * Determine whether the strategy will be accomplished by 2030. * Propose corrective measures for any variations. Thesis Statement: Much has been achieved in the three pillars (political social and economic) of Kenyaâ€™s Vision 2030 since its operationalization in the year 2008. For instance, the inauguration of the new constitution took place in August 2010; devolved governance became functional in 2013, the Supreme Court and the Senate are in place, and independent commissions like IEBC, CIC, and NCIC among others are operational. On the other hand, infrastructural developments such as roads, standard gauge railway, street lighting, expansion of the port of Mombasa and the LAPPSET are underway. On the social pillar, the government has continued to support free primary education, expanding and upgrading colleges to universities, improving the condition of hospitals to offer proper medical care and upgrading of slums. The most recent issues are issuing tablets to primary schools, elimination of maternity and national exam fees. However, most of the things that ought to be in place at this point are still a dream.
