Researching volcanoes in New Zealand using NASA’s Terra satellite. (Research Proposal Sample)

Instructions:

nasa project research in newzealand
New Zealand's geographical area is old. It split from the ancient continental drift Gondwana some 80 million years ago as a singular land area called Rangitata. The South and North Islands of New Zealand began to form some 5 million years ago. Until around 7000 years ago, much of New Zealand was blanketed in rainforests (Baumann et al., 2019). New Zealand, surrounded by water, was a shelter for rare flora and wildlife, including numerous wingless species of birds that developed back on the ground for millennia.

Project synopsis/ Abstract
The projects study area is New Zealand, New Zealand is a country in the South Pacific Ocean, approximately 2,000 kilometers (1,250 miles) southeast of Australia. It is the world's smallest country. Wellington, the capital of New Zealand's North Island, is situated on its southernmost tip, with a view over Bering Strait towards the South Coast. The main objective of the project taking place is to prepare for and anticipate probable modifications and explosion risks, the government must develop policies and strategies that foresee and comprehend the volcanic system of the country, particularly the Taupo Volcano Belt. For this research the satellite used will be tera satellite (Campbell 2020). An advanced spaceborne thermoelectric emission and reflection radiometer (ASTER) aboard NASA's Satellite platforms offers near-infrared stereoscopic imagery (VNIR) out of which topography may be determined. An automatic stereo matching approach is used to determine the parallax discrepancies between the pictures obtained by the nadir- and rearward sensors.
1 Introduction
New Zealand's geographical area is old. It split from the ancient continental drift Gondwana some 80 million years ago as a singular land area called Rangitata. The South and North Islands of New Zealand began to form some 5 million years ago. Until around 7000 years ago, much of New Zealand was blanketed in rainforests (Baumann et al., 2019). New Zealand, surrounded by water, was a shelter for rare flora and wildlife, including numerous wingless species of birds that developed back on the ground for millennia.
Community concern
The NASA project is important to the community in New Zealand because since its founding in 1958, NASA has made significant contributions to the progress of spatially sectors, which have a wide range of implications for our everyday lives (Schlieder et al., 2020). NASA has contributed significantly to sectors that are transforming the globe, such as space telecommunications, global positioning systems, satellite communications, and space accessibility.
Location
The study location is New Zealand and it is located in the pacific ring specifically the fire fracture ring zone (Eberhart 2020).
Study Period
the period of time I have chosen is a day or two; the Terra satellite, and depending on the satellite's speed and direction, this should take about two days to complete the investigation (Schlieder et al., 2020). This study will look at how the satellites interact with one another to repeatedly orbit the entire planet every 1-2 days, which would be the time frame I have chosen for the study.
Agency Chosen and Decision-making process
The agency I chose is the National Environment Management Agency because National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) seeks to create a secure and sustainable Aotearoa New Zealand by encouraging citizens before, throughout, and after disasters (Eberhart 2020). The impacts of catastrophes can be felt by individuals, communities, possessions, infrastructure, the economics, and the ecosystem, among other things. NEMA help communities prepare for and respond to disasters. NEMA's main duties are to oversee and operate the emergency management system. NEMA's role as steward is to improve emergency preparedness capacity and ability. As operator, NEMA coordinates the reaction to one another and rehabilitation from catastrophes, as well as the emergency preparedness systems.
Decision-making process
NEMA, as an individual departments agency, enjoys complete independence than MCDEM had previously. The administration has also assigned the National Emergency Management Agency a significant stewardship duty, which requires it to coordinate and manage throughout the whole emergency preparedness system (including national and state government) in the event of any danger or risk (Baumann 2017).

Terra (EOS AM-1) is a NASA science and research spacecraft that measures Planet's surface, land, as well as water simultaneously to comprehend how World is evolving as well as the repercussions for life on This planet. It was the very first Planet Observing Network satellite, succeeded by Aqua (released in 2002) & Aura (initiated in 2004), Terra debuted in 1999.
