Attention Grabber: With more and more students in pursue of higher education in colleges and universities, it becomes indispensable for high schools to make available training, and not just any training, but training that maximizes the success of their graduates. A countrywide representative survey contrasting academic outcomes between Grade 12 high school graduates and Grade 13 graduates has shown that graduates of the 13th Grade get higher high school grades, that they are more likely to continue with higher education at the university, and that they are more prospective to be satisfied with their degree programs than graduates of the 12th Grade (Sana and Fenesi 1).
Thesis Statement: The unearthing made by the survey conducted by Faria Sana and Barbara Fenesi highlights the importance of an extra high school year (the 13th grade) to produce high school graduates that are better-equipped and well-prepared to enroll into institutions of higher learning.
