Introduction
Sierra Leone is situated in western Africa, Bordering the North Atlantic Ocean, Between Guinea and Liberia. Sierra Leone was a British colony with a approximate population of 6.1 million, it gained independence in 1961. The local currency of Sierra Leone is Leone and the capital is Freetown which is the largest city where the largest number of population and governmental institutions and ministries. In Sierra Leone the main religions are Christianity and Islam. English is the official language of Sierra Leone but only 35% of the its citizens are literate while the social language is Krio which is basically English language derived from the local African language in the country, the average life for person is 40 years due to effect s of AIDS that affects 7% of the population.[https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/sl.html]
In addition to diamonds, the country also has other natural resources such as titanium ore, bauxite, iron ore, gold, chromites, rutile, cocoa, coffee and fish which they are the main exports of Sierra Leone, these resources distributed on many areas among the country area which is 71,740 squared kilo meter.
The economic and social infrastructure of Sierra Leone is not well developed. Nearly half of the population survives by subsistence agriculture, although alluvial diamond mining accounts for almost half of the country’s exports and is the most significant source of hard currency earnings.
