An effective marketing strategy should be cost effective to reduce the company’s production costs and encourage the target consumers to consider purchasing the barns. Digital marketing is one of the most cost effective distribution channels that Pepsi Company should employ. According to Bailey (2014) digital marketing entails promoting brands by use of the electronic media and employs channels that allow firms to analyse their marketing campaigns to improve productivity critically.
Some of the channels that associate with digital marketing include blogging, video streams, electronic billboards, podcasts, direct emails, the web and mobile phone messaging. By securing an internet connection, the potential customers can access information regarding Pepsi Company anytime and anyhow they want it. The internet has become the most powerful digital marketing medium (Bailey, 2014). It is very cheap to access the internet for instance in cyber cafes and by use of personalized computer and mobile phones, and thus data access regarding Pepsi Company is made easy and convenient for all type of customers.
Use of third parties involves employing intermediaries such as the retailers and the wholesalers to advertise you brand to the potential buyers. Use of third parties is a form of an indirect marketing channels, and their aim is to make more profits in the form of commissions. The third parties, therefore, end up setting high market prices which make it hard for the buyers to afford the brand and thus makes the channel cost prohibitive (Bailey, 2014).
