Introduction
Although film has been available for research, leisure and commercial purposes since the end of the 19th century, and even though the television and VCR have been with us for more than a generation, the last decade has seen a new and quite distinct proliferation, transformation and is now at work in consumer smartphones, car seats, desktop computers, children’s toys and of course, film production (where more films are now shot in digital video than in film stock) CITATION Mat14 \l 1033 (Broth, Laurier, & Mondada, 2014)

These are short videos that are less than the length of a traditional television program. They are usually a part of a longer recording. Clips can also be defined as a pieces/ segments of video or media file that comprises of a video, audio, graphics or any other content.
TV Drama
A television drama is a show that runs in a series or has a conclusion at the end of an episode then moves on. Episodes may be self-contained or storyline could be spread out over a number of episodes.
Television drama has specific techniques that are used in storytelling. The audience expectations are to be entertained, be informed and have affairs dramatized in a TV drama. A drama can vary in length of episodes from half an hour to two hour episodes. TV dramas have different categories e.g. hospital drama, TV crime series. The storylines are fictional and have a wide range of themes from crime to soap opera. The episodes may be self-contained or storylines may be continued over several episodes. What makes a TV drama appealing to the audience is they don’t too much go at once; they start with an intense beginning to grip their audience and keep letting little bits go to keep the audience engaged in the episode until the end where they conclude the episode.
We communicate our daily experience to ourselves and to others in story form, we make sense of the behavior of others by inventing stories to explain why they act as they do. Since prehistoric times, people have invented and told one another fictional stories and the practice persists today in jokes and comic books as well as novels. Drama is a cultural activity which brings together these two human properties for play and for story telling CITATION Joe09 \l 1033 (Winston & Tandy, 2009).

Documentary
The word documentary suggests an interest in what is actual, what exists, rather than what one brings personally, if not irrationally, to the table of present-day actuality CITATION Rob97 \l 1033 (Coles, 1997). Coles 1997, states that documentary evidence substantiates what is otherwise an assertion or a hypothesis or a claim. A documentary film attempts to portray a particular kind of life realistically; a documentary report offers authentication of what is otherwise speculation. The heart of the matter for someone doing documentary work is the pursuit of "human actuality”- rendering and representing for others what has been witnessed, heard, overheard or sensed.
