Abstract
Classical conditioning is a learning process that happens when two stimuli are paired, it happens when a conditioned stimulus gets paired with an unconditioned stimulus. While there may be several factors that might affect the acquisition of anxiety disorder,classical conditioning has a major role in developing anxiety disorder. The relation of classical conditioning and anxiety may better help in planning and devising new treatment plans for patients with anxiety. Therefore, this paper aims to examine different scientific articles on the two topics, to be able to draw a common line between them. These articles shall be assessed for their experimental content to be able to provide clear-cut evidences for the chosen topics. In that way, hypothesis on the specific role of classical conditioning in the development of anxiety disorders shall be formulated and discussed thoroughly. Through deep analysis and understanding of research studies in that field, a strong evidence shows that classical conditioning leads directly to the development of anxiety disorder in most individuals.
