Change Management Strategy:
The NHS strives to provide the best quality service in the health care sector worldwide and in the effort to achieve this strategic goal the NHS has adopted the innovation strategy of improving the health care through the application of the modern policies and approaches that can enhance health care quality. The achievement of healthcare excellence by NHS is an integral process that involves the processes, people and machines. Worley and Mohrman, (2014) argues that change is not obsolete but dynamic process that is becoming more complex by the day and the management of change management requires a new approach which is complex, agile and integrated. According to Kotler (2012) service quality is highly depended on the service providers and the process involved in the provision of that service. Therefore, the role of the medical doctors and the nurses in the improvement of the health care service and implementation of the innovation is very vital.
The clinical managers must act as change agents and communicate to the stakeholders about the innovation and how the change will affect them. Anderson and Anderson (2010) support stakeholders’ involvement during change implementation and argues that effective communication will influence the perception, attitude and behavior of the subordinates to accept the change positively and facilitate its implementation of the change.
