Love Attitudes
Feelings of affection, attraction, need, care and respect are the contributing measurable factors to love attitudes. Love attitudes are the forces attributed by these forces; i.e., affection, attraction, care, need and respect towards a person(s), animal or something. Love attitudes are a result of different constituting factors which include; oneself, family, age, culture among others.
Among many contributing factors of my love attitudes, family is the major determinant.
Being respectful and caring person are my known love attitudes contributed and shaped by my family. I thank my parents and all my family members for having contributed in my upbringing, advising, watching and correcting me. Not only by the approach and talks they gave me, but also their conduct, behavior and love for me and everyone else in the society acted as a masterpiece in sharpening my love attitudes.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. (1 Cor. 13.4-5) These are the words I cannot forget as it was a daily remedy from my mother. Teaching me what love is and what it isn’t. My dad also taught me that “respect is a two-way street”. Meaning once you respect others, they will respect you too.
