I am honored to have a chance to apply for the _________ scholarship program. Since I was young, I have regarded education as something more significant in my life, and I have never given up pursuing my dream career despite the challenges I have been facing. Through my hard work, I was able to attain excellent grades in high school, which made me one of the students who have secured a chance joining __________ College.
I am a born-again Christian and a member at First Bapt. Church of Forney, Texas; and also an active member of Sunday school. I am involved in some of the school activities; I am a 4th-year member of Forney High School Marching Band, as well as Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble. I have been service to the community, working with Dallas Fire Dept. and Denton State School clients. Through this, I have been able to save the little amount of money I get to finance my college education. I also participated in blood donation four-times through the American Red Cross blood drives at Forney High School.
As you well know, a college education is costly, though it is an investment that is indeed worthwhile. The little amount of money that I have been saving is not enough to cover all the cost for my college, and I don't want to lose this golden chance of fulfilling my dream career.
