Ikea, a Swedish retailer, in a matter of almost seven decades has transformed itself from a one man selling a few bit items to one of the most successful multinational companies in the world. It sells its products in locations in Asia, Europe, Australia and the United States, generating billions of dollars yearly. Ikea has managed to not only sell its products at affordable rates, but it has successfully established itself as a brand name respected for its unique retailing concept. Moreover, it has effectively sold a concept of a lifestyle that people around the world find irresistible. By employing effective business strategies, such as the strategy clock, it has maintained its competitiveness throughout the years.
