OTP Bank Group Business Process Analysis
History
OTP bank is a Hungarian independent financial services provider based in Hungary. Due to a large market share in central Europe, the OTP bank group is widespread in more than ten countries. The OTP bank group started in the year 1949 as a state commercial and savings bank that provides deposits and loan services. With time, the scope of the bank widened, and it entered into real-estate transactions. Later, the bank was granted the role of providing domestic foreign accounts and forex services.
The OTP bank group's strategy statement is, "The strategic goal of OTP Group is to become the most successful universal banking group in Central and Eastern Europe. In addition to our openness to innovation, the secret to our success lies in the fact that our head office located in the region, our 70 years of experience, and our customer base of nearly 19 million enable us to properly understand and serve the needs of our customers".
System Analysis
The OTP bank system has various inputs and outputs. In any business process, users are involved to ensure the business process is logical. In the course of the business process, users' views, opinions, and choices become part of the business process input while the response to the users becomes the output. The bank customers are expected to submit requests to the bank system and get the system response depending on their respective requests (Allweyer, T. 2010). The bank system inputs consist of people, facilities, information, and raw materials. On the other hand, the bank system input consists of profits, revenue, and customer referrals.
