Company Overview
Keurig is a company founded in 1992 and sells an innovative technology that permits its target audience to make a single-serve cup of coffee. However, it is in 1998 that the company ventured in the “Away From Home” market whereas, in 2003, it was the first firm to commercialize its single-cup brewer system in the “At Home” marketplace. The single-portion brewer approach has three distinct attributes: a coffee brewer that regulates the amount of pressure, quantity, and temperature of the water with the sole purpose of providing the target market with a unique and tasty cup of coffee (Hitt, Ireland, & Hoskisson, 2016). The other two attributes of the brand include varied coffee flavors to mirror the distinct taste and preferences of target consumers, and the patented and extraordinary filter paper and portion-pack system filled with ground coffee beans.
