Subway restaurants are famous for serving great tasting and fresh foods with healthy nutritional choices to their many customers worldwide. The objective of the restaurant is to serve food which meets the utmost quality and safety values. The flexibility level is high in Subway, additional menu options have been added to enhance business in the dinner hour, and this also helps save time. Also, the positioning of the sandwich shops is strategic to leverage address reasonable opportunities or threat, the restaurants are opened in many unusual places like hospitals, amusement parks among others, and this shows great flexibility. Subway among cheapest major fast-food restaurants to franchise (Kushell et, al 78).
Subway has a great variety of products offered ranging from the Giant Subs that can satisfy great hunger and freshly built from the bread up, types of sandwich platters freshly made from one's order, large desserts with chocolate and oatmeal flavors. The product's quantity in Subway is large to the customers' satisfaction.
Subway uses the Make to Order production strategy where every customer is allowed to purchase those products which are customized to their specification. (Fast-food Franchises). Ones the customer places an order, the product is made, this allows for more flexible customization since the exact product specification required by the customer is made.
The employees and franchisees of Subway undergo e-learning which is an online training program with restaurant training courses; this shows that the degree of specialization is high thus keeping the Subway’s training (like their sandwiches) fresh and accessible.
