1 What are the main components of cooling load of a building? Write the equations and explain with the help of diagrams
The main components of a cooling load are: transmission load, infiltration load, solar load, and internal load. If you don't know the u-value of the insulating panels then you will need to calculate this: Q = U x A x (Temp out – Temp in) x 24 ÷ 1000. 1000 = conversion from Watts to kW (Mendes, 23).
2) Explain the working and types of air distribution fans in air conditioning systems.
Axial Fans: Air is moved along the fan's axis by axial fans, which include propellers, tubes, and vane models. In the same way that aircraft propellers produce lift and pressurize the air, these fans do the same. The airflow is driven by a motor and a propeller in a propeller fan. It is similar to a propeller fan in the sense that it has a venturi that is meant to decrease air leakage around the fan's propeller. The spinning prop's age or vortex. Vanes on the back of the propeller of an axial fan straighten the whirling airflow that happens when air is propelled by the engine. Because of their low cost, small size, and light weight, axial fans are often used in industrial settings. Centrifugal fans, on the other hand, tend to be quieter. Installation of sound dampening material or baffles may also help minimize noise by insulating the duct, mounting the fan on a soft material like rubber, or utilizing a spring isolator to limit the amount of transmitted vibration (Mendes, 18).
Centrifugal Fans: Fans with centrifugal impellers, such as those with radial, forward-curved, and backward-inclined blades, enhance the speed of an air stream by spinning the impeller. To put it another way: The speed rises when air reaches and is converted to pressure at each blade's end. Extremely hot systems
