(2013), a 17-year-old male patient showed himself to a dentist complaining of yellow discoloration of his teeth from the age of 8-9 years. Even though the patient provided a positive history of discolored anterior deciduous teeth, there was no remarkable medical and family history. There were no missing teeth, but the patient had permanent dentition. All teeth had a brown discoloration, with attrition on the posterior teeth. Both the anterior and posterior teeth had reduced crown heights. Pitting was present in 11, 14, 21, 22, 24, 34, and 42. The enamel had a hard consistency, but no tooth had shown chipping of the enamel. Panoramic radiograph showed that a thin layer of enamel with radiodensity of enamel greater than dentin was present. Following these clinical and radiographic examinations, a final diagnosis of hypoplastic Amelogenesis Imperfecta (AI) was made. The figure below shows an image of the patient’s teeth taken during diagnosis.
