Covid-19 is the biggest global health scare of all times. Since world war two, the disease proves to be the greatest scare the world ever faced (Bai et al., 2020). The infectious disease has spread to almost all continents of the world. The cases of infected people continue to rise every day, creating havoc among all nations. Even though the cases are rapidly rising, the number of recoveries is quite promising as it overpowers the magnitude of deaths (Xu et al., 2020). Countries are trying their best to slow and eventually eliminate the spread of the virus by mass-testing citizens, treating Covid-19 patients as well as tracing contacts to the virus (Petropoulos and Makridakis, 2020). Other precautionary measures being followed are limiting and completely cutting off travel, especially international travels, encouraging citizens to self-quarantine and limit movement, eliminating public gatherings, sporting gatherings, schools and other public congregations (Pandey, Gautam, Bhagat and Sethi, 2020). The virus is not only a health giant, but is also a threat to the social, economic and political well-being of all nations. It is surely likely to leave scars that will almost be impossible to heal. The united nations development program has played a critical role in the management of Covid-19, by encouraging countries to prepare, respond and recover from the Covid-19 blow (Roy et al., 2020).
