Abstract
One in every American household face food security throughout the year, inadequate financial resources, prevents them from continuously meeting nutritious dietary needs. Minority groups and low-income households indicate the highest risks of food security that regularly lead to high occurrence of diet related illnesses such as obesity. Food security and obesity is an aspect scholars have assessed to determine factors influencing food security and its effects on changes in weight. The aim of the project will focus on food security and obesity. A literature review will be carried out, through several techniques to identify important articles related to the topic. Generally, food insecurity and obesity is strongly as well as positively common among women population. Although, evidence demonstrates that the connection prevalent among teenagers; in children results are mixed.
