There are things that tend to define who we are and what our actions will be. These things may include the society that we live in or grew up in, our families and our role models. However, we all have different personalities and this reflect our true selves. Normally, people do not really know what their personality traits are until someone else says what his personality trait is. Comments such as “She is really outgoing, He is really humble” are some of the ways that people learn of their traits. The personality traits occur depending on a person’s social life. How he performs some duties recurrently until he grows accustomed to functioning in a specific manner that makes him unique among his social circle. There are some factors that determine a person’s personality. These include openness, agreeableness, neuroticism, extraversion, and conscientiousness.
Our personality traits can define others around us. For example, a simple smile to a stranger can make his day whereas a frown can ruin his day. There are positive and negative character traits. Some of the positive traits include honesty, humility and dependable. The negative traits include arrogant, dishonest.
Personality traits influence a person’s motivation. Whether at work or school or back home, the person’s motivation is highly defined by their personalities. Humility can motivate a person to success. This is because this person knows that there will be challenges and numerous failures in his journey to success. However, he does not let the differences blind him from his main focus or even his success does not let him get carried away.
Independence is also another personality trait that motivates a person to do something without supervision. This personality trait is related to motivation. This is because the person with this trait is motivated to do something with minimal supervision and this makes them perfectly recruit able with big firms.
