The root operative that is chosen is excision. Excision is removing an organ, bone or tissue partially from a body thus, the removal of tissue using a sharp knife. It is a procedure that is simple which a doctor uses to remove things like tumors and growths from the body. The main tool used in the procedure is a sharp tool (Zeisset, 2010). Some doctors use electrodes for feathering the edges of the site of excision so that the scar will not be easily noticeable. When a tumor is removed, it is known as excision biopsy. Most of the cases, a margin that is a healthy skin is removed so that cancer cells will not spread to the other tissues.
