An ideal definition of sustainability that would capture the economic, environmental, and social aspects is that it is the ability to maintain a given behavior indefinitely (Elaine, 2015). This would mean that environmental sustainability, social sustainability, and economic sustainability are intricately tied to one definition of maintaining steady commitment to a given behavior despite the challenges that occur during the implementation of this behavior.
