China Telecom Corporation Porter's 5 Forces Analysis
China Telecom is a state-owned corporation and the largest communications firm in China. As the leading technology corporation, the company provides a mobile communication network and broadband internet. The firm operates in a specialized sector with significant complexities and technicalities (China Telecom, 2020). To that end, the firm has to conduct industry analysis to make strategic decisions to continue market leadership. Porter's 5 Forces is instrumental in helping a firm identify strategic position by assessing the extrinsic factors important for making decisions.
Bargaining Power of Buyers
Like other companies, the buyers’ bargaining power of China Telecom customers represents an important force because they are the end-users upon whom the firm derives its return on revenue. The bargaining power of buyers for the firm remains limited because of the minimal enterprises existing in the industry. As the market leader, the company has a vast customer base, which helps it set prices with government involvement. The company is equally offering the best services with its robust and efficient network, which attracts consumers towards the firm.
