Customer service is very vital for the sustainability of a restaurant. According to Batt et al. (2014) customer service is the provision of service to customers before, during and after a purchase. During the provision of this service an extra element is what develops and sustains their expectations. Globally customers devote their income to these establishments to wine and dine regularly Batt et al. (2014). For this reason customers get exposed to many establishments, and this makes them have a wide variety of expectations about what they want.
Customers need the following expectations met for them to feel satisfied. One of the expectations that they expect in restaurants is high-quality food. According to Armstrong et al. (2014) supplier quality is the capacity to meet or surpass existing and upcoming customer expectations or desires in critical performance areas on a regular basis. Customers will always watch out for good quality food in restaurants. Any inconsistency in the quality of food in restaurants creates a wrong impression and clients shun away from the place Armstrong et al. (2014).
A variety of foods and spiced up menus is another expectation by customers. Consumers are engrossed by spiced up menus with an endless list of delicacies to choose. Customers want to be able to make a new choice every day Armstrong et al. (2014). Raju restaurant has adopted different kinds of omelets which make it attract customers with different tastes.
The other factor which makes up customer expectation is customer feedback. Consumers expect to have a platform to air their comments and suggestions to the management Batt et al. (2014). Customers also expect that the management will act on the feedback provided.
An example is when a consumer wants to suggest that a particular flavor of omelet is not fresh. The information will get to the management, and they will work on improving the omelet.
Caring for upset customers is another aspect of expectation. Consumers complain about problems in food regularly. It is important that the management takes immediate action to replace the dish or refund the customer Batt et al. (2014).
Customers' expectations develop the standards they maintain in the places they visit Batt et al. (2014).Through this, consumers learn not to accept anything lesser than the best quality. Through information technology, 21st-century consumers are highly knowledgeable about what they should expect Armstrong et al. (2014).
Formulate the Unique Selling Points of Raju Omelet. What brand image did Raju Omelet develop during its start-up period and how was this image established
A unique selling point is an issue that distinguishes a product from its rivals, such as the least cost, the best quality or being the only one of its kind. A unique selling point could be assumed as "what you have that rivals don't." Armstrong et al. (2014).The unique selling points for Raju are developed along its competitive edge of making high-quality omelets with fresh eggs Batt et al. (2014). For Raju the unique selling point that best fits is: "If you like it fresh, try Raju omelets for a healthier life."
Brand image is the picture in the consumers' mind of a brand's complete nature Armstrong et al. (2014). Brand image is established over time through publicity campaigns with a constant theme and is authenticated by the customers' experience Batt et al. (2014). The brand image at Raju was developed through Radio when Rajiv focused on talking about the benefits of eggs consumption rather than the shop itself. The brand image was that the omelets they produce are very healthy, and they use fresh eggs. The health advertisement always ended by saying it was brought by Raju Omelet. The timings of the adverts were so good that people noticed from the first day they were aired.
What would it take to this restaurant to ensure that customers are highly satisfied? How valuable is highly satisfied customers in the restaurant business and why
Consumers at Raju will be highly satisfied by adopting a few factors. One of the factors to highly satisfy the employees is to ensure consistency in quality of eggs used in omelets. Raju's main specialization is using fresh eggs to make omelets so as to ensure better quality. Fresh eggs will satisfy the customers more. The other factor to ensure customer satisfaction is collecting of feedback from consumers. The feedback is used for the improvement of Raju. Quick response to consumer request also helps in ensuring customers are highly satisfied Armstrong et al. (2014). Personnel in the organization should be trained to serve customers with speed Batt et al. (2014). Any complaints from customers should be taken care of immediately.
The benefits of highly satisfied customers are as follows: The first one is increasing business growth. The company benefits from high profits facilitating the acquisition of more infrastructure and the putting up of more branches Batt et al. (2014). The second benefit is customer loyalty. This is the possibility of preceding customers to continue buying from a certain business Armstrong et al. (2014).Satisfied customers always stick to their usual places.
