Write a reflection of 1,000-1,250 words in which you discuss the following:
Explain the characteristics of conscious leadership as defined by Mackey and Sisodia. Provide citations to strengthen your claims. Choose two historical management theories and explain their influence on the field of organizational behavior. Provide citations to strengthen your claims.
Describe the importance of self-awareness, self-concept, and emotional intelligence and the role they play in enabling effective conscious leadership and effective self-leadership. Provide citations to strengthen your claims.
Briefly summarize the results of each assessment you completed: "The VARK Questionnaire," "Cultural Competency Self-Assessment," and "Rokeach Values Survey," provided in the topic Resources.
In general, do you believe the results represent who you are as a leader? How will the results inspire you to be a conscious leader? Explain.

Managing people within an organization requires to require discipline and effective leadership. It is imperative to note that leadership is an art and requires more than just establishing, following, and implementing rules (Anderson, 2015). Therefore, leaders have to work on their leadership skills to yield effective and cohesive governance within the team or organization. Once can add leadership skills to improve the team's relations within the organization and the organizational performance. Good leadership requires conscious leaders in every step of organizational management. This paper will focus on self-assessment and reflection importance in conscious leadership.
Mackey and Sisodia’s Characteristics of Conscious Leadership
Conscious leadership involves getting the best from the team members and focusing on collective achievement over individual success. Various essential blocks make up conscious leadership, including higher purpose, conscious culture, stakeholder orientation, and conscious leadership (Mackey & Sisodia, 2013). A higher purpose is often directed at the diversification of objectives within an organization. Therefore, this aspect infers that effective leaders should not always focus on a profitable basis. Further, leaders should motivate the stakeholder in an active role within the organization. Additionally, a good leader should also ensure to transform employees through education and guidance as a role model to bring the best out of them and the organization.
