Managing people within an organization requires to require discipline and effective leadership. It is imperative to note that leadership is an art and requires more than just establishing, following, and implementing rules (Anderson, 2015). Therefore, leaders have to work on their leadership skills to yield effective and cohesive governance within the team or organization. Once can add leadership skills to improve the team's relations within the organization and the organizational performance. Mackey and Sisodia’s Characteristics of Conscious Leadership
Conscious leadership involves getting the best from the team members and focusing on collective achievement over individual success. Various essential blocks make up conscious leadership, including higher purpose, conscious culture, stakeholder orientation, and conscious leadership (Mackey & Sisodia, 2013). A higher purpose is often directed at the diversification of objectives within an organization. Therefore, this aspect infers that effective leaders should not always focus on a profitable basis.
