Introduction
Problem Statement
Forever 21 is a US garments retailing organization established in 1984 by Do Won Chang. Consistently, the organization has bragged high deals and being a most loved for ladies who the name of the organization decorates. Forever 21 stores can be discovered everywhere throughout the world, in Japan, Europe, and the Philippines among different nations. The organization is home to 30,000 workers and bragged 4 billion deals in 2016 (Forever 21 site).
Two years ago, Forever 21 was charged with a lawsuit by the Fair Employment and Housing Department for allegedly enforcing an English only policy at its San Francisco store. This English only policy violated the civil rights of Forever 21 by discriminating them because of their ethnic origin. The suit was filed on behalf of three employees who complained that they were prohibited from interacting in any other language except English during work hours and even during their breaks. The employees asserted that the policy was primarily enforced against Spanish Speaking employees. The three employees were subject to verbal abuse from their manager for interacting in Spanish amongst themselves and to customers who speak Spanish. When they forwarded their complaint to the HR department, they said that HR dismissed it and did not take any corrective action.
