I chose this article because, in my nursing career, I am bound to come across a lot of patients who have diabetes. Therefore, it is important to be aware of the current changes in the therapy of diabetes type 2.
Diabetes mellitus has been one of the most common disorders affecting Americans. The article outlines that among the 30million Americans that suffer from diabetes, approximately 95% of them have diabetes type 2. The treatment of this type of diabetes involves the modification of the patient's diet and plenty of exercising. Besides, pharmacology therapy is part of the main method of treatment. In the past years, there has been a lot of changes regarding the medicine used in the treatment of diabetes.
