Abortion is a sensitive topic for it arouses different emotions in people. People have varying opinions regarding abortion. Most nations have legalized abortions, while others perceive it as a crime. The issue of whether women should have a right to abortion is a heavily discussed subject.
Women should not have a right to abortion because it sometimes leads to death. It is estimated that unsafe abortions cause about 13% of maternal deaths worldwide (Berer, 2017). Women who cannot afford safe abortions seek services from unrealized medical practitioners. Legalizing abortion has led to increased maternal deaths, approximately 68,000-78,000 deaths every year across the globe (Berer, 2017).
