Summary of the poem: Disillusionment of ten O’clock
This poem is about the houses which are being haunted caused by boredom from the white night-gowns. The speaker is trying to elaborate the activity that makes the poem to be more attractive as he or she continues with the poem further. The speaker also at his or her final remarks says that that people who wear boring nightgowns will have also boring dreams, but the drunk, old sailors are going to have unusual dreams to the extent of sleeping in their boots.
The speaker of the poem who is an observer is watching the situation of being loneliness without a partner in the society that he or she points out that these members are full of disgrace in their living. They are full of I wish I knew attitude for them to end this aspect of loneliness. The members of the society are full of grief about their state in the society thus making the poem to be full of pardon throughout. The speaker concludes the poem in a sophisticated way by posing the implication of this loneliness in the future that people will become drunk so that to evade the situation at hand.

I am your disturbances from every corner of this village of Salem. Most houses of Salem are haunted by the white night- gowns. I and my friends could find ourselves on top of their houses to make them have uncomfortable especially during the night. This was as a result of one tall man who requested for me to sign on his book and diligently work for him. None of our plans was green, or purple with green rings or yellow with blue rings but rather to causing disruptions in the village. This is due to the fact that we had to accomplish the mission making some of the members of the society to be insane with the assistance of some colloquies, none of them are strange, and most of them were having grudge with the families of the afflicted girls in the area.
