Urinalysis Tract Infection (UTI) is a foremost health unruly for women across the globe. Moreover, the bacteria rise from the occupied urethra into the bladder and can similarly climb into the kidney if early intrusions are not made (Bengtsson & Carlson, 2015). Schuiling and Likis (2017) argue that in 2007, 8.6 patients showed up in the hospital seeking ambulatory care assistance with the main analysis of the infection. Therefore, it is a rationale of this paper to give deep-rooted information on the nurse’s experience in dealing with UTI patients and feedback to the preceptor.
Nurse’s Experience
Nurses face diverse challenges when they interact with patients. During practice, nurses encounter challenges that result from communication, the inconsistency in anticipation, and social beliefs (Hardavella, 2017). To start with communication, I faced a challenge in that I disclosed information to the patient without considering the appropriateness of the setting. Additionally, during interaction with the patient is applied to meager nonverbal communication. This hindered the patient from comprehending what was required. Also, concerning the discrepancy in expectation, there was a challenge in that the patient had done research online and concluded on the infection. Therefore, the results and findings never agreed with that of the patient this brought a challenge. Lastly, cultural belief hindered our interaction in the patient believed infection was a result of an ancestral curse.
