Birth control involves different methods that are used to prevent pregnancy. This follows a well-executed birth control guide that applies various methods such as the use of condoms, Intrauterine Devices (IDU), Birth Control Options, use of Mini-Pills, Emergency Contraception, Permanent Birth control, Vasectomy among other methods. Unprotected teenage sex is responsible for cases of teenage pregnancy. Among the industrialized nations, the United States is leading in the cases of unintended pregnancies. This generation does not administer hormonal contraception appropriately, leading to many cases of teen pregnancies. According to research, over 10 percent of cases of teens on hormonal contraception become pregnant. There are dire consequences for girls who get discontinued many teenage girls being exposed to harmful side effects
Teenage girls from the age of 12 become sexually active and start engaging in illicit sex. This predisposes them to the danger of early pregnancies and other sexually contracted infections. At age 15, most of the teenagers have experimented sex and are attached to sexual partners of the male gender who are equally sexually active. This leaves in a precarious place where they expend emotional and psychological effort to satisfy their sexual urge. Most of the teens embrace birth control as a way of regulating their periods (Wearn, A., Gill, P., Gray, M., & Wan Li, A, 2011).
Teenage girls should, therefore, be allowed to use birth control methods. This covers the age of thirteen to eighteen (Bailey, M. J, 2016).
